Dial 911 as soon as possible to assure the quick arrival of emergency responders. You will be asked for your location, passengers and injuries involved in the accident, and the description of cars involved, so have this information ready and available to share.

Therefore, it’s essential to take pictures or record video of the scene to preserve details that will not be available once first responders arrive. You can share this evidence with the police, but be sure to also maintain a copy or backup.
Get medical attention when paramedics arrive, and if necessary take ambulance to the hospital. If injury is not serious, follow up with your primary care doctor. When on scene make sure to get a full health assessment as some injuries can show up later which can impact your recovery, for example, internal bleeding.
Make sure to get the information of all individual involved in the accident, including but not limited to, drivers license, vehicle registration, insurance information, and telephone number. Make sure to also exchange your information with others involved. When police arrive, answer any questions asked but never admit fault.
